HANCA Family and Friends Support Group
The online peer support group is designed specifically for family members, partners, and friends who are primary carers of people with Head and Neck Cancer.
Facilitated by the Head and Neck Cancer Helpline staff, sessions will include:

Opportunities to share experiences and mutual support

Short educational segments on coping strategies, communication challenges, and self-care

Discussion and connection with others who understand what you’re going through

Information about community and psychosocial resources
Each session will open with a talk by a Head and Neck Cancer clinician.
Meetings held via Zoom, every 8 weeks, Thursdays at 12 pm.
This is a pilot program which will evolve over time based on demand and feedback from attendees.
The Support Group sessions will be held via Zoom, every 8 weeks, on a Thursday at 12 pm.
Each session will run for up to 90 minutes.
The rest of the meeting will be devoted to participants questions and discussions about any concerns, what they struggle with, or what they would like to learn more about.
