A collaborative network improving care for people affected by Head and Neck Cancer.

HANCA’s Clinical Community of Practice (CoP) is a forum for clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals dedicated to improving care for people affected by Head and Neck Cancer. The CoP provides a space to share evidence-based knowledge, collaborate with peers, and stay informed about the latest resources and developments.

What we do:

  • Provide education, support, and advocacy for people living with Head and Neck Cancer
  • Develop evidence‑based clinical resources for health professionals
  • Promote shared learning and multidisciplinary collaboration across oncology, surgery, nursing, allied health, and rehabilitation 
  • Continuously improve care through feedback, evaluation, and expert guidance

Who can join:
Health professionals involved in head and neck cancer care, including:
Nurses, dietitians, speech pathologists, radiation therapists, physiotherapists, mental health clinicians, researchers, surgeons, oncologists, and other MDT members.

What members do:

  • Contribute feedback to HANCA’s Helpline and clinical resources
  • Recommend educational topics and speakers
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions
  • Review and refine guidelines and practice resources

How it works:

  • Meetings held quarterly (online)
  • Agendas and materials shared in advance
  • Shared online workspace for collaboration
  • Minutes and action items documented
