Farewell and Thank You Founding Director A/Prof Bruce Ashford

This week we farewelled A/Prof Bruce Ashford, one of Head and Neck Cancer Australia Founding Directors after nine years on the Board.

Bruce has been instrumental to making the vision of establishing a national Head and Neck Cancer charity become a reality since the idea was floated back in 2012.

Bruce has guided the charity since day one and the charity wouldn’t be where it is today without his expert guidance, invaluable connections, practical advice, unfailing sense of humour and dedication to improving outcomes for all people affected by Head and neck Cancer.

It was fitting that Bruce’s final contribution to HANCA was the incredible RideBeyondFive charity event on 26 October 2023 that he has co-hosted with Dr Trevor Gardner since 2019 raising over $70k for HANCA!

Thank you for everything Bruce. Your contribution will continue to have an enormous impact on people living with Head and Neck Cancer for many years to come and we will be forever grateful to you.
